OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2014 NCAA Wrestling Championships wrapped up Saturday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena with Iowa State finishing just outside the top-10 in 12th with 42 points.
Three Cyclones earned All-American honors: Kyven Gadson (fourth at 197), Michael Moreno (fifth at 165) and Earl Hall (eighth at 125).
Iowa State wrestlers have now earned All-America honors 287 times, good for No. 3 all-time in NCAA Division I wrestling.
Gadson and Moreno were both repeat All-Americans, each placing higher than last season at 2013 NCAA Championships in Des Moines. Hall is a first-time All-American.
All six NCAA-qualifiers return for the Cyclones next season. Kyle Larson (125), John Meeks (141) and Quean Smith all have starting experience. Talented freshman Daniel Woiwor, a top-100 recruit coming out of high school, will compete for a spot at 157 pounds.
