IOWA CITY, Iowa- The Iowa State gymnastics team earned a season high floor score at Friday night's meet against the Iowa Hawkeyes inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tying her career-high on the event, Haylee Young's 9.900 on floor helped bring the team a season-high 49.125. This along with Caitlin Brown's beam score of 9.900 helped the Cyclones finish with an overall team score of 195.175. This put them in second place at the meet behind Iowa's 195.775.
The meet was part of the Iowa Corn CyHawk Series, which ISU continues to lead over Iowa, 13-11 with one event remaining, softball on Apr. 15 in Iowa City.
Floor
ISU earned a season-high team score of 49.125 on floor, led by Haylee Young who tied her career-high of 9.900 on the event. Hilary Green also earned a career high score with a 9.875. Caitlin Brown and Kelsey Paz both helped the team to their season-high with scores of 9.850 and 9.800, respectively.
Bars
Iowa State started the meet on bars, earning a team score of 48.925. Hilary Green led the team with a 9.850. Caitlin Brown was close behind her with a score of 9.825. Briana Ledesma also contributed with a 9.775.
Vault
Haylee Young led the Cyclones on vault with a 9.875, tying her career high on the event. Caitlin Brown brought in the next highest score, a 9.800. Kelsey Paz earned a 9.750 to help bring the ISU vault score to 48.775.
Beam
Caitlin Brown led the Cyclones on beam with an impressive score of 9.900. Lark Pokladnik and Alex Marasco both put up scores of 9.750 on the event. Haylee Young also contributed a 9.725 to bring the team score to 48.350.
All-Around
Her 9.900 on beam helped Caitlin Brown win first place at the meet with an all-around score of 39.375. Haylee Young earned a 39.225 for her all-around score to finish third, tying career highs on both vault and floor.

The Cyclones will return home to face Temple next Friday night. It will be Iowa State's senior night, highlighting lone senior Caitlin Brown. The meet will begin a 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Cyclones.tv.
