NORMAN, Oklahoma – No. 15 Iowa State scored a 194.975 in the Oklahoma tri-meet against defending national champions Oklahoma, who won with a 197.525 and Texas Woman's University, who notched a 191.425. The Sunday split at the Lloyd Noble Center moves ISU's record to 5-1 on the season.
The Cyclones scored 49.075 on vault which is their highest score this season. Iowa State had three solid events, but struggled on beam.
Assistant coach Kristin White, who was a multiple-time All-American at Oklahoma made her return to Norman for the first time as a college coach. "I thought it was a great experience coming back to Norman, and it bring back those great memories that I had with my family and teammates. Coming here as a coach it's different. I'm going to look forward to coming back here, but I hope the Cyclones continue to get better."
Vault
Vault was the highest scoring event for the Cyclones this afternoon. Iowa State scored an impressive 49.075. Haylee Young and Meaghan Sievers led the Cyclones with 9.850s. Sophia Steinmeyer scored a 9.825, having gone 9.825 or better in all three meets of her collegiate career so far. Kelsey Paz scored a 9.800. Kelly Martin tallied her season-high 9.725 and Ariana Orrego scored a 9.675.

Uneven Bars
Cyclones started the afternoon on bars and scored a 48.975. Hilary Green led the way for the Cyclones and scored a 9.900, which is her season-high. Haylee Young also recorded a season-high on bars, scoring a 9.850. Meaghan Sievers helped the Cyclones scoring a 9.800. MJ Johnson had a solid routine and scored a 9.750. Laura Burns scored a 9.700, and Kelsey Paz score a 9.600
Senior Hilary Green
"The last time I probably scored that high was my freshman or sophomore season. It was really exciting for the team and I feel like we're talking step in the right direction."
Floor Exercise
The Cyclones scored a 48.975 on floor tonight. Senior Briana Ledesma and Ariana Orrego both scored 9.825s to lead the Cyclones' team score. Meaghan Sievers added a 9.800 for the second meet in a row. Haylee Young added a 9.775, and Kelsey Paz scored a 9.750. Sophia Steinmeyer scored a 9.675, the best of her young career.

Balance Beam
The Cyclones struggled on beam tonight scoring a 47.950. Iowa State had to count a fall on beam. Kelsey Paz had a team high score tonight of 9.725. Sophia Steinmeyer scored a 9.725 and Ariana Orrego added a 9.650.

All-Around
Iowa State had three all-arounders tonight. Haylee Young scored a 39.150, Kelsey Paz scored a 38.875 and Meaghan Sievers finished with a 38.500.
