LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Iowa State falls to fifth-ranked UCLA in their matchup Saturday. The Cyclones posted six career-high scores overall. Maddy Langkamp posted a 9.875 on beam. Lauren Thomas, Alondra Maldonado and Josie Bergstrom all scored career-bests on beam, with two 9.900s and a 9.875 respectively. Hannah Loyim posted a season-high all-around score of 38.950.
Bars – 49.075
Langkamp led the way for the Cyclones on bars, scoring a career-high 9.875. Iowa State had four scores of 9.800, from Maya Ford, Loganne Basuel, Hannah Loyim and Laura Cooke. Ford's routine notched her a season-high. UCLA's Jordan Chiles scored a perfect 10.000 on bars for the meet-high.
Vault – 48.375
The Cyclones were led by Ana Irene Palacios and Bergstrom on vault, each posting a 9.775. Loyim tied her career-high, scoring a 9.750. UCLA had two gymnasts tie for the meet-high on vault; Chiles and Selena Harris both scored 9.975.
Floor – 48.800
Iowa State was led, yet again, by senior Maddie Diab, who scored a 9.875. Palacios logged a score of 9.825. Bergstrom posted a 9.750. UCLA's Jordan Chiles had another meet-high, scoring a 9.975 on floor.
Beam – 49.300
Thomas and Maldonado both scored 9.900 on beam to lead Iowa State. Bergstrom scored a career-high 9.875 with her excellent beam routine. Natalie Horowitz notched a 9.850, tying her season-high. UCLA had three gymnasts score a meet-high 9.950 on beam; Chiles, Harris and Emily Lee.
