MADISON, Wis. – The Iowa State women's cross country team finished the regular season slate on Saturday morning, running against some of the nation's top competition at the Wisconsin Pre-National meet. It marks the second time the Cyclones have raced on the Zimmer Championship Course this season, site of the 2024 NCAA Championships at the end of November.
Maelle Porcher led as the Cyclones' top individual, posting a top 25 finish with a time of 19:55.8. It marks the third time this season that she has taken the top spot on the ISU roster. Iowa State had its next six runners finish within a minute of each other, led by Bella Heikes' time of 20:40.2. Heikes was followed closely by Riley Beach (21:00.0), Taylor Briggs (21:09.0), Sheridan Wheeler (21:20.1), Ruby Hughes (21:28.3) and Ashlyn Keeney (21:34.2) to help with team points.
