LINCOLN, Neb. - Iowa State fell to a strong Nebraska team (2-2, 0-2 Big 10) on Friday night in Lincoln.Â
There were fourteen season bests from the Cyclones in the sixteen events.Â
How it Happened
Emma Kuhn won the 100 yard backstroke with a season-best time of 56.77, beating her opponent by almost a full second.
Carley Caughron was runner-up in all four of her events. In the 50 free she had a time of 23.84, 100 free was 52.34, and her 100 fly time was 57.89, each by less than a second behind first place. She led off the 400 medley relay team with a split of 52.73.Â
Corinne Guist took second in the 500 free (5:08.30) and third in the 1650 free (17:28.00).
Mallory Miller ended the night with a second place finish in the 200 IM (2:07.00) with a season best time and placed third in the 500 free (5:11.61).
On the diving side, Kate Mitchell made the cuts for NCAA Zone Qualifiers with her 1-meter diving score of 265.88, placing third overall.Â
