Iowa State Swimming and Diving (2-1, 0-0 Big 12) will head to Iowa City for the annual Hawkeye Invite for its first championship-style meet of the season. Â
THE EVENT - Hawkeye Invite Â
Teams participating at the Hawkeye Invite include Arkansas, Colorado State, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Nebraska, San Diego State and UNI.Â

The Cyclones will compete against the Huskers for the second time this season. They are 4-2 on the season, bouncing past previous opponent, South Dakota State, 170-72, and merely losing at Iowa, 170-130. Â

ISU will host UNI on January 11 in Ames. Big 12 rival, Kansas will be competing this weekend as the Cyclones will head to the Jayhawks' pool on February 7, 2025. Â

The Cyclones will dive platform for the first time this season, with three freshmen attempting for their first time in their collegiate career. Â

The meet starts on Thursday, November 21st and will last till Saturday, November 23rd. Each day will include swimming preliminary sessions at 10:00 a.m. with diving starting at 11:30 a.m. and final sessions beginning at 5:00 p.m. Â

The Hawkeye Invite will take place at the University of Iowa Recreation and Wellness Center located at 309 S. Madison Street, Iowa City, Iowa, 52242. Admission into the meet is free and the entrance will be open 90 minutes prior to the start time. If unable to attend, live meet updates will be posted on Meet Mobile. Â

LAST TIME OUT - Nebraska Â
The Cyclones set 14 season bests over the course of 16 events, despite losing to the Cornhuskers. Emma Kuhn took home the 100 backstroke title, earning her season best with a time of 56.77. Carley Caughron was runner-up in all four of her events, each less than a second behind the event champions. Kate Mitchell made NCAA Zone Qualifiers with a score of 265.88, placing third overall. Â

WHAT TO WATCH FORÂ
The sprint freestyle and backstroke events have been dominant for the Cyclones over their past three duals. Â
Carley Caughron has been top two in each of her events, 50 free, 100 free and 100 fly. Â
Fallon DeWitt and Emma Kuhn have worked together to earn top three finishes in each of their backstroke events. Â
ON DECK - Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series Â
Iowa State will return to Iowa City on Dec. 13th, for the Cy-Hawk matchup. The Hawkeyes are 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Big 10 with a loss to No. 23 Minnesota. The Cyclones will face the Hawkeyes for the 48th matchup in history.Â
