Anja Peck Named Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week

AMES, Iowa – Freshman Anja Peck and Ankeny native was named Big 12 Co-Newcomer of the Week Friday for her outstanding performances in Iowa City against the Hawkeyes in late December.
Peck placed second in both the 100 (1:03.91) and 200 breast while achieving a personal best time of 2:16.97 in the 200.
The rookie added herself to ISU's all-time top performer's list, earning the 19th spot in the 100 breast and the 12th spot in the 200 breast.
The Cyclones will compete again on January 11 at Beyer Pool in Ames against the UNI Panthers. The meet is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
