AMES, Iowa – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has named Morgan Brandt, Maya Duckworth and Rachel Van Gorp to the CSC Academic All-District Team announced Tuesday.
Brandt adds the honor to a list including Big 12 Setter of the Year, All-Big 12 First Team and Honorable Mention AVCA All-Region. Brandt totaled 1,098 assists in 2025, ending her ISU career with the fourth-most by a Cyclone with 3,787. The versatile Brandt also had 220 digs, 71 kills, 26 blocks and 21 aces in 2025. Brandt works toward her degree in accounting. This is her second CSC Academic All-District honor.
Duckworth also earns her second-straight CSC Academic All-District honor as she earns her degree in event management. In 2025, Duckworth hit 231 kills and totaled 107 digs, 41 blocks and 12 aces. Duckworth wraps up her Iowa State career with 1,073 kills to rank 10th in Iowa State history.
Van Gorp is a first-time CSC Academic All-District recipient. The sophomore's 2025 accolades include AVCA First Team All-Region, unanimous Big 12 Libero of the Year, unanimous First Team All-Big 12 and two Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honors. Van Gorp totaled 556 digs, 120 assists and 37 aces while dialing in a reception percentage of .980 this season. The libero is majoring in kinesiology and health.
All-District honorees hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater and have competed in 90 percent of matches or have started in at least 66 percent of total matches. Freshmen are not eligible.
Brandt and Van Gorp advance to the national ballot for CSC Academic All-America.
