No. 19 Iowa State Picks up Loss at Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 19 Iowa State (14-5, 2-5 Big 12) dropped its fifth straight in a 86-58 loss at Oklahoma State (15-4, 4-2 Big 12) Sunday afternoon.
Oklahoma State, ranked fourth nationally in 3-pointers per game, made 14 on the day. Cowgirl Stailee Heard led the game with a triple-double of 18 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists.
Jada Williams and Audi Crooks led the Cyclones with 15 points each. Crooks scored in double figures for her 85th-straight game.
How it Happened
Iowa State won the tip and got on the board first, but the host then went up 7-2. ISU brought it back within one, but both teams were held scoreless to follow until OSU hit a 3 with 1:51 remaining. After one, Oklahoma State led 13-8.
OSU scored nine straight to jump ahead 26-14 at the midway point of the second in a run including a pair of triples. The run continued out of the media timeout to 13 before Crooks ended it with a free throw, but Oklahoma State drained yet another 3 right after building its lead to 33-15 with three minutes on the clock. OSU's sixth 3-pointer made it a 20-plus point lead, and the home team entered halftime ahead 43-21.
Crooks had two buckets to start the third, but the Cowgirls' continued to hold a lead over 20. Sydney Harris made the ISU's first 3 of the game with the clock at 7:08 and Williams sent in a jumper next before OSU delivered a deep shot (51-30). The Cowgirls ended the third on a 15-0 run to lead 66-35.
Williams made two-straight shots leading to an OSU timeout with 6:56 to play but Oklahoma State kept with its nearly 30-point lead. The home team ended the game ahead 28 by a final of 86-58.
