Cyclones Earn 16th-Straight NCAA Regional Bid

AMES, Iowa - The Streak Continues.

Iowa State has earned its 16^th-straight trip to an NCAA Women's Golf Regional. By winning the Big 12 Championship, Iowa State earned an automatic berth into the NCAA Regionals. The Cyclones were selected to play in the NCAA Simpsonville Regional, May 11-13 in Louisville, Ky., as the No. 3 seed.

The NCAA Simpsonville Regional will be held at The Louisville Golf Club with Louisville as the host. The top five teams in the six regionals will advance to the NCAA Championships, May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. The top individual in each regional not among the teams advancing will also punch a ticket to Carlsbad.

This marks the 20^th time and the 16^th year in a row (1993-96, 2010-26) Iowa State has qualified for an NCAA Regional. Last season, the Cyclones advanced to the NCAA Championships for the second time in program history, joining the 2014 team.

Iowa State won the Big 12 Championship last week for the first time in program history. For the fifth-straight year, Iowa State had a pair of players earn All-Tournament honors, as Nichakorn Pinprayoon won the individual title and Pammy Chookaew finished eighth.

Ranked No. 18 in the country, the Cyclones have earned four victories this season. All four wins have come during the spring season, while also adding a runner-up and fourth place finish to their six events during the second half of the season.
