Terrell Named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State defensive end Isaac Terrell was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Terrell had a monster performance in his Cyclone debut, tallying a career-high three sacks, a forced fumble and a QB hurry in Iowa State's 38-10 victory over SEMO Saturday. His three sacks tied for the third-most ever in a game by a Cyclone and he was a half sack shy of tying the single-game school record.
Terrell, a Lehi, Utah native, is the first Cyclone since Rashawn Parker in 2006 to have multiple sacks in his Iowa State debut.
Terrell played a major role in a defensive effort that saw ISU finish with six sacks in a game for the first time since 2020 (vs. TCU) and hold SEMO to 1.5 yards per rush.
Iowa State is back in action Saturday in Iowa City for the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series against Iowa. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on NBC.
