Iowa State Topped By Weber State

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.- Freshman Lauren Odino scored her first goal of the season, but Weber State prevailed by a 4-1 margin at Stewart Field on Friday afternoon at the Colorado College Invitational.

With the loss, Iowa State fell to 3-5-0 and Weber State improved to 3-2-2.

Weber State used two quick goals in the first 20 minutes from Linsey McFarland to lead the Cyclones 2-0. The Wildcats outshot the Cyclones 18-8.

Shelli Gough had two goals in the game for the Wildcats, her first goals of the season.

The Cyclone goal was scored at the 76^th-minute by Odino off the pass from fellow freshman Molly Lohry, to put the Cyclones on the board, 3-1. Odino led the team offensively with three shots on goal, more than doubling her season total.

Goalkeeper Ann Gleason made five saves in the game, while Weber State's Rebecca Ritchie had six saves.

The Cyclones tallied seven shots on goal. Both Brittanie Waddell and Elise Reid had shots on goal that were just slightly off the mark.

The Cyclones return to action on Sunday in their second game of the tournament against Colorado College (3-1-0). Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. CST.
