Coach Said It
"It's very frustrating that we can't get off to a good start right off of the first whistle,” head coach Tony Minatta said. “I think a lot of it needs to come from the team, the leaders. We only have one game this week, on Sunday, so we have a whole week where we can get back to training and really get to some competitive training. When you are in-season and play every Friday andSunday, you get stuck to the same schedule of just Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We need players to step up and start being leaders on the team. People who are looked up to need to start bringing it every game, and it's something they can't just talk about. It's something they need to do. We are going to get back at it and try to get some momentum going into Big 12 play.”
Game Notes
* Sophomore Maribell Morales scored her first goal of the season and her second of her career.
* Junior Koree Willer scored her second goal of the season and the16th of her career.
* Sophomore goalkeeper Lindsey Hendon recorded three saves.
