Cyclones Set for Tri-Meet at West Virginia

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State will hit the road and participate a tri-meet against a pair of Big 12 foes at West Virginia with No. 7 Denver, Saturday at 6 p.m. The Cyclones recorded a season-high 195.975 in their last meet on Sunday, and just sit outside of this week's top-25.
ISU's season-best effort was powered by Meaghan Sievers' career-high-tying 39.425 in the all-around, which included a 9.900 on floor. It was the second time this season that the seniors has scored 9.800 or above on all four apparatus in a meet. Junior Laura Burns was one of the stars of the afternoon, posting career highs on bars (9.925) and floor (9.875).
The Cyclones will be meeting WVU for the second time in 2019, having defeated the Mountaineers in Cancun back on the opening weekend of the season. Denver enters this weekend's meet following a season-best 196.350 at the Metroplex Challenge last weekend.
