AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State (3-9-4) women's soccer played to a 1-1 draw with No. 23 Texas (11-1-4) on Thursday night. The teams were scoreless until Iowa State found the back of the net off a header that stemmed from a corner kick deflection. Ten minutes later, in the 67th minute, Texas responded with a goal to tie the match at one. Neither team scored again in the final 23 minutes of play.
ISU's lone goal was credited to Jada Colbert. Jada Colbert now leads the Cyclones with a season-high four goals.
How It HappenedÂ
In the first 11 minutes of play, Texas recorded three shots while Iowa State recorded two.
Both shots for ISU were off target
Neither team recorded a shot between the 12th and 28th minutes.
Jada Colbert tallied her first shot in the 31st minute.
Colbert's shot was saved by Texas.
Texas took four shots between the 35th and 43rd minutes of play.
Two shots were blocked while the other two were off target.
In the 44th minute, Jada Colbert recorded the final shot of the half for ISU.

Ten minutes later, in the 67th minute, Texas responded with a goal to tie the match 1-1.
From the 68th minute until the 87th minute, the Longhorns out-shot the Cyclones 4-0.
ISU defenders blocked three of the four shots.
One shot was off target.
In the 88th minute, Jada Colbert took the final shot of the match for the Cyclones.
Her shot was saved by the Texas goalkeeper.
In the 89th minute, Jordan Silkowitz made two crucial saves to preserve the 1-1 draw.

Iowa State will have a week off before they face the Kansas Jayhawks in the final regular season match of the year. The match will take place on Thursday, Oct. 27th in Lawrence. Kickoff against Kansas is set for 7:00 p.m. (CT).
