Kicking Off
Following a tough two-game road trip to Utah, the Cyclones return to the Cyclone Soccer Complex on Sunday to host Kansas State. ISU looks to sweep the Sunflower State schools for the second straight season and pick up its 200th all-time win in the process.
The Cyclones enter Sunday's competition tied for tenth place in the conference. ISU has four of is remaining six matches at home and looks to string together points to clinch a spot in the Big 12 Championship in Kansas City – only the top 12 earn berths.
Kansas State comes to Ames looking for its first conference win of the season and first since Oct. 5 of last season. K-State has either tied or lost in six straight, having claimed its last win on Sept. 1 over USD.

Leading the Cyclones
Through 12 contests, Iowa State totes 10 goal-scorers, with seniors Morgan Furmaniak (4) and Magdalena Keck (3) leading the way. Keck has a team-high nine points, pairing three assists with her trio of scores.
Both Hannah Shaw and Sophia Thomas each have a pair of goals, rounding out the Cyclones with multiple scores on the season. Defenders Ella Zimmerman, Isabella Agrusso, Adelaide Wolfe and Chloe Broughton all also have goals to their names, along with midfielders Seulgi Lee and Lauren McConnell.
Avery Gillahan has been a constant for the Cyclones between the pipes this season, having played 1,060 minutes of action. Gilly has three shutouts on the year with 60 saves and a 1.53 goals-against average. Avery is second in saves in the Big 12, trailing just K-State's Murphy Sheaff.
Opponent Outlook
Like the Cyclones, the Wildcats also boast a balanced offensive attack that features double digit goal-scorers. Ryann Reynolds totes a team-best four scores, while Allison Marshall joins her as a multi-goal scorer (2). Both of Marshall's goals have been game-winners.
Morgan Struttman has a team-high of three assists, while both Marshall and Langley Mayers each have two. Manning the net for the 'Cats is Murphy Sheaff, the conference leader in saves. Sheaff has three shutouts on the season and holds a 1.25 goals-against average.
Overall, K-State has allowed 15 goals and has scored 15 times this season. The team has 138 shots, averaging 11.5 per contest, and places 44.2% of them on goal.
Series History
Iowa State and Kansas State will meet for the ninth time on Sunday as part of a series that the Cyclones lead 5-2-1. Coach Fannon is 3-1-1 against the Wildcats and the team hasn't lost to K-State since 2020. This will be just the fourth time the teams have played in Ames, with ISU and K-State being tied 1-1-1.
