Iowa State and North Dakota State meet for the 10th time in program history Sunday afternoon. The Cyclones have won five in a row over the Bison.

The teams have not met since 2022 when the Cyclones were victorious, 26-9, over NDSU. This will be the first neutral site matchup between ISU and NDSU.

THE HUMBOLDT DUAL
ISU and NDSU will face off inside Humboldt High School, the home of head coach Kevin Dresser. This is the fourth-consecutive season Iowa State will wrestle in Humboldt, where the Cyclones are 3-0 with wins over Purdue, Grand View and Wisconsin.

After blanking Wisconsin, 42-0, last season and Grand View, 40-0, two seasons ago, ISU has not lost a match inside Humboldt High School since the 2021-22 season.

KEY STORYLINES

Last time out, Iowa State placed with with 89.5 points at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Open. Six Cyclones finished on the podium in what is regarded as the toughest regular season tournament in college wrestling.
Iowa State is 41-12 in Big 12 duals under Dresser and even better in recent years. Since the 2021-22 season, ISU is 21-2 in league duals.
The injury bug has plagued the Cyclones early in the season. Iowa State lost starters Casey Swiderski (141) and Connor Euton (165) to season-ending knee injuries. Anthony Echemendia (149) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks due to a high ankle sprain while heavyweight Yonger Bastida has wrestled in only one dual this season as he heals from a lingering knee injury. Additionally, 125-pounder Kysen Terukina has yet to make his season debut due to a neck strain but is listed as an option in this week's probable lineup.
Twin brothers Evan and Jacob Frost are projected to appear in the dual lineup at the same time for the second-consecutive season. They are the first set of brothers to appear in ISU's dual lineup since Michael and Gabe Moreno in 2015.
Carter Fousek, a sophomore from Chester, Iowa, is projected to make his Iowa State dual debut on Sunday. He has a 17-7 career record, including an 8-4 mark this season, wrestling in open tournaments.
Head coach Kevin Dresser preaches a high-paced, entertaining style of wrestling and encourages his athletes to give fans their money's worth. This season, nearly half (46.5%) of Cyclone wrestlers' wins have come with bonus points (20-of-43).
