FAMILY BUSINESS
Members of the Iowa State women's basketball staff and team have ties to programs all over the country. Head coach Bill Fennelly's coaching tree has grown over his 35 years at the helm of two successful stints.
Fennelly's eldest son, Billy, joined the Iowa State staff in a full-time capacity in 2009-10 following stints with Maryland and Northwestern.
Several players have sibling connections around Iowa State and the college game. Addy Brown's older sister Kennedy is a senior center at Duke, also a No. 7-seed in the NCAA Tournament. Kelsey Joens' older sister Ashley is Iowa State's all-time leading scorer. Two other Joens sisters have also played Division I basketball. Courtney played at Illinois and Aubrey is senior at Oklahoma. Arianna Jackson's father (Hez) and brother (Kendell) are both alums of the Cyclone football program.

Crooks has grown into a star role for the Cyclones, dominating the paint in her first season.
The Algona, Iowa native leads the nation's freshman in field goal percentage (.599) while averaging 19.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest. Crooks was a unanimous First-Team All-Big 12 selection, one of just four throughout the conference and a first for ISU. She was also a member of the Big 12 All-Tournament team and All-Freshman team.
