KEY STORYLINES:Â
-At No. 17 in the AP Top 25, Iowa State has been ranked in the AP Top 25 for 32-straight weeks, the seventh-longest streak in the nation. It is the second-longest streak in the country behind Houston's 106, which is the longest streak in the country. The Cyclones and Cougars are the only two Big 12 schools to have double-digit streaks.Â
-Curtis Jones was named an AP Honorable Mention All-American selection this year. Jones is the 30th All-American in school history and the second for T.J. Otzelberger at Iowa State, as Tamin Lipsey earned the same honor last year.
-Jones and Keshon Gilbert were named to the NABC All-Central District teams. Jones was a first team selection, while Gilbert was named to the second team.
-Iowa State Head Coach T.J. Otzelberger picked up his 25th victory over an AP Top 25 team at Iowa State, passing Johnny Orr for the most in program history. He also earned his fifth NCAA Tournament victory, the most in school history. His .679 overall winning percentage and .568 conference winning percentage are both the best in school history.Â
-ISU earned four ranked victories on the year, tied for the 10th-most in program history.Â
-Four Cyclones were honored by the league's coaches. Jones was named the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year, while also earning a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team. Junior Joshua Jefferson was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team, while also earning a spot on the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team. Lipsey was named to the All-Big 12 Third Team, while also being named to the Big 12 All-Defensive Team. Gilbert rounded out Iowa State's selections by being named to the All-Big 12 Third Team.
-Five Cyclones averaged double figure points this season in Jones (17.4), Gilbert (13.4), Jefferson (13.0), Milan Momcilovic (11.5) and Lipsey (10.6). ISU is one of 30 schools with five players hitting the mark and one of just 11 that made the NCAA Tournament. Iowa State was the only Big 12 school on the list.
-A trio of Cyclones were named to late season watch lists. Gilbert was named to the Bob Cousy Award Top 10 list, while Jones was named to the Jerry West Award Top 10. Both Jones and Gilbert  have been named to the Oscar Robertson Trophy (Top 50), Wooden Award (Top 20) and Naismith Trophy (Top 30) Watch Lists. Lipsey was one of 10 players named a Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Semifinalist. Â
-Jefferson tallied 454 points, 259 rebounds, 109 assists, 74 steals and 26 blocks this season. He is the only player in the country with those numbers this season and the 11th since 1974-75 to do so. No player in Big 12 history has ever done it in a season.
-Lipsey is averaging 10.2 points, 4.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game in his career. He is one of 26 players since 1947-48 to average those numbers in a career while playing at least 100 games. He is one of just 10 from a Power 5 Conference to do so. His 237 career steals are the most in program history and the eighth-most in Big 12 history.
-Jones scored 12 combined points in his first four Big 12 games last season. He then scored in double figures in 22-straight Big 12 regular season conference games, a streak that lasted just over a year. It was the longest streak in the last five years in the league and the 16th longest in league history. Only Marcus Fizer and Georges Niang had longer streaks for the Cyclones.Â
