Iowa State finally got to Melloh (5-3) in the seventh inning as Alex Johnson hit a two-out single to left field to breakup the no-hit bid. Sydni Jones then collected a walk to move Johnson to second before Wray took Melloh's 2-1 pitch to right field for the single to score Johnson from second.
The RBI was Wray's ninth of the season and helped to snap a season-long three-game losing streak for the Cyclones.
Fresno State (7-4) got a leadoff hit in the fourth inning but Carlin was able to pitch out of trouble. The Bulldogs had two base runners in the sixth inning as well, including one on third when Carlin got Michelle Moses to fly out to center to end the threat.
