Turning Point of the Game
Sophomore forward Koree Willer got the Cyclones started right off the bat sneaking a shot pass the Northern Colorado goalkeeper in the sixth minute. Freshman Maribell Morales, who had been injured the past few weeks, joined the party putting Iowa State up 3-0 in the 27thminute with the first goal of her career.

Koree Willer. The Cyclones leading goal scorer this season continued her hot play, drilling two early goals giving Iowa State a decisive advantage. Willer has proven to be the Cyclones go-to threat on offense recording her fifth and sixth goals of the season.
Coach Said It
“We started off really strong, Koree came out firing,” head coach Tony Minatta said. “We had a couple nice goals and nice attacks going forward. I thought that we had some really quality possession in the first half. The second half was a little sloppy, but at the end of the day we got a lot of our starters rested. With a three-goal lead we felt comfortable resting some players. We wanted to get them some rest because Denver is going to be a really quality opponent on Sunday.”
Game Notes
