TUCSON, Ariz. – Iowa State (10-16, 4-10 Big 12) fell at Arizona (18-9, 7-9 Big 12) in four sets (13-25, 25-23, 22-25, 18-25). Arizona dominantly took the opening frame, but Iowa State answered back in the second to tie up the match. The Wildcats took the next two sets, extending their win streak to five.
Morgan Brandt continued her climb up the program ranks moving up to No. 8 in career assists with 2,596 after dialing in 25 in the match. Brandt had the 25th double-double of her career and ninth of the season as the junior added 11 digs to her stat line, also having an ace and a block.
Brooke Stonestreet led with 19 digs, while Rachel Van Gorp (12) joined Stonestreet and Brandt with double figure digs. Freshman Van Gorp had her 18th match with 10-plus digs.
Faith DeRonde and Lilly Wachholz led the Cyclones in kills with 12 each.
SET ONE
Arizona began up 9-4, causing the Cyclones to call a timeout. Van Gorp slammed down her second kill to halt the 3-0 UA run out of the timeout, but the Wildcats continued to hold the lead at 16-8. Arizona kept control of the set to take it 25-13, outhitting the Cyclones .367-.061.
SET TWO
Kiersten Schmitt tied things at 7s, while Schmitt put down another to total five in the match while putting the scoreboard at 9-8, UA. ISU got a lead at 12-11 on an ace by Paula Krzeslak, and kills by Pam McCune and Wachholz followed to put ISU up 14-12. Iowa State won a challenge as the Cyclones stayed with the lead at 15-13, and built an advantage out to four (18-14). Arizona came back within one at 18-17 and 24-23, but Iowa State did not give up the lead going on to tie up the match with a second set score of 25-23.
SET THREE
After starting behind 7-3, ISU went on a 5-1 run to knot the set at 8s. A long rally came next with many saves by Stonestreet, but Arizona would take the point. Multiple ties followed, including one at 13-13 as DeRonde hit kill No. 10. Following another successful ISU challenge the score was brought to 15s, and the set remained tight as the 10th tie of the set was seen at 18-18. Arizona would take the next three, but a kill by DeRonde and a solo McCune block brought it back to a point (21-20). A successful UA challenge would flip the score from 23-23 to 24-22, while the Wildcats sealed the set next at 25-22.
SET FOUR
Arizona again began with the lead early, running up the score to 11-6 as Iowa State called is first timeout of the set. ISU then brought it back within a pair (11-9) after a kill by DeRonde and a pair by McCune. Arizona would keep its lead, reaching 20 points as Iowa State held 15. Iowa State fought off match point once but Arizona's victory would be sealed at 25-18.

ISU returns home Nov. 27 to host No. 19 Utah and Nov. 29 to close the Big 12 schedule against No. 11 Kansas. Both matches begin at 5 p.m.
