AMES, Iowa – Four Cyclones have secured zone cuts for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships from March 10-12.
Kate Mitchell qualified in all three events, while Maggie Bendell and Ally Blumenfeld earned spots in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions. Freshman Abby Tollefson also qualified in the 1-meter event.
Around the Championship
Iowa State will once again compete against divers from TCU, Houston, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska, having faced each of these teams earlier this season.
Last Time Out - Big 12 Championships
Maggie Bendell earned a score of 237.20 to move onto finals in 1-meter and ended in 15th place. Bendell also placed 16th in the finals with a score of 254.50.
Blumenfeld qualified for the platform finals with a score of 221.95, finishing in 13th place, and barely missing a NCAA qualifying score in the event.
Mitchell finished 22nd in both the 3-meter and platform events, earning points for the Cyclones while coming close to making the finals.
Rookie Tollefson secured a 26th-place finish in both the 1-meter and platform events.

The meet will begin with the 3-meter event Monday at noon, followed by finals at 3 p.m. The 1-meter event will take place Tuesday, and platform will conclude the competition on Wednesday, following the same schedule each day.
